  • Decrease the number of persons at nutritional risk and promote optimal nutritional status.
  • Reduce morbidity and mortality due to chronic disease.
  • Promote optimal health for school age children.
  • Reduce the incidence of maternal and child-related morbidity and morality.
  • Reduce the occurrence of high risk and unintended pregnancies and provide education for health spacing and planning for children.
  • Improve and maintain the optimum level of health and functioning for adults and advocate the least-restrictive living environment.
  • Assist with the access of primary care for the uninsured, indigent, and others as needed.
  • Ensure the safety of water supplies from private water well systems.
  • Protect the public from food-borne illness.
  • Minimize the risk of vector-borne disease and other animal-related human health hazards and associated nuisance conditions.
