Ensure safe and healthy living conditions for persons being cared for in child care facilities.
Decrease the number of persons at nutritional risk and promote optimal nutritional status.
Reduce morbidity and mortality due to chronic disease.
Promote optimal health for school age children.
Reduce the incidence of maternal and child-related morbidity and morality.
Reduce the occurrence of high risk and unintended pregnancies and provide education for health spacing and planning for children.
Improve and maintain the optimum level of health and functioning for adults and advocate the least-restrictive living environment.
Assist with the access of primary care for the uninsured, indigent, and others as needed.
Ensure the safety of water supplies from private water well systems.
Protect the public from food-borne illness.
Minimize the risk of vector-borne disease and other animal-related human health hazards and associated nuisance conditions.
Protect the public from environmental health and safety hazards.
